Members & Volunteers

We are very open to non-players, both male and female, becoming involved in the leadership, management and administration of the club.

As a volunteer, we can offer you the following:

  • Centrally located club with access to DART / public transport
  • Progressive and friendly club environment
  • A circle of male and female friends outside of your normal environment
  • Active club roles available for work experience and other opportunities
  • Network opportunities with the Railway Union Business Network, which will allow you to engage in the local community and provide networking opportunities that may assist in work and/or business opportunities
  • Railway Union is focused on being a community-based club, which means we focus on working with, in and for our community.  This will give you a sense of achievement and of ‘involvement’ in your local community, a sense of ‘giving something back’
  • Active participation and work experience opportunities to develop your management, professional and people skills in professional setting.  Working with achievers in many areas of business and the community, you will get guidance and feedback.  This can add to your CV and give valuable work experience in an area you might want to break into.  We have countless examples of members who’ve gained experience in certain club roles who have gone onto find similar roles professionally
