The Railway Legends Christmas Lunch will take place on Friday 19th of December at the club.
"This is our 110th year and I'm delighted our Legends committee have sought to mark that with this lunch," said Railway President Shirley Corcoran, "Staying close our former members and alumni is an important value of our club and this lunch is a big part of that."
"The lunch complements our annual Legends games led by Stuart Jones and will allow different generations of Railway players to mix, mingle and share stories of matches and adventures past."
The day begins at 2.30pm at a drinks reception hosted by Corcoran, with the five course lunch and wine being served at 3.30pm.
Chris Kent has been confirmed as the guest speaker, whilst former Railway player and current Connacht Branch President Adrian Leady is the guest of honour.
In what is sure to cause much debate, the nominations for the Railway 'Team of the Century' will be announced.
"Three players in each position will be nominated," said Legends Primo Ciaran O'Brien. "There will be photos of the players and the teams they played on shown on the day. We also encourage members to bring their own photos."
"There's has been a fantastic response so far, with people flying in from places such as Australia, the US, the UK and the Cayman Islands to attend what promises to be a great start to festive celebrations," concluded O'Brien.
